C & C Design Service
Encino, CA
Owner/Consultant
Provided EMC (test procedures, test plans, test reports, technical construction files (TCF) and software profiles) and mechanical (thermal, vibration, acoustic, seismic and floor loading) design and analysis services to the semiconductor manufacturing, medical, automotive, telecommunications, aerospace, and electronics industries.
Troubleshooting of component failures on a semiconductor manufacturing system, root cause was determined to be ESD into several components, provided a cost-effective solution (grounding method) and a field retrofit kit that could be installed quickly.
EMC tested (insitu) automotive fueling equipment, located failure modes, recommended and implemented solutions.
General EMC testing at machine equipment dealers, electronic products manufacturers, test equipment manufacturers and competent bodies.
A list of clients is available on request.
April 2003 - February 2004
TÜV Rheinland of North America
Pleasanton, CA
Sr. Specialist
Responsible for obtaining Product Safety and EMC test certification for equipment manufactured by TÜVR clients. Testing had to meet National and International standards and country specific requirements. This also included performing follow-up factory inspections. I taught clients’ personnel good EMC design practices.
Selected appropriate product specific or generic test standards based on product type and generated test plans.
Established test duration, client cost, schedules and
Negotiated test cost with 3rd party test laboratories.
Generated comprehensive test reports based on specific test plans and had certificates issued.
