Point of Sale (POS) is a new system designed specifically for front counter operations and equipment in World Service Centers (WSC) and FedEx stations. POS is a new system with the purpose of capturing the increasing number of cash-only accounts and invalid credit card transactions, which are not being caught by our current front counter operations. POS should, therefore, increase revenue to the company and eliminate the need to call customers after they have left the front counter to request another method of payment from them.

The POS system provides more efficient means of performing many of front counter functions, especially in Accepting and Releasing. The other functions are MDSE, Track, Rate, Customer (Customer Account Look Up, Pay on Invoice, Account Information, Customer Account Number Setup and Print Tax Exempt Form), Utilities (View Log, Post Scans, Post REX, Relabel, Cash Management, Consolidation, Co-mail). It currently works with the tracker and COSMOS to help improve how we serve our customers in WSC and FedEx Stations.

The Structured Financial Messaging Solution (SFMS) enable banks to send financial and non-financial messages across the Indian Financial Network (INFINET) in a secure environment. The INFINET, a Closed User Group (CUG) network, comprising VSATs and other modes of terrestrial communication links, has been established by the IDRBT for the exclusive use of the country's banking and financial Sector.

This system provides browser based GUI to facilitate the creation of messages based on transactions, message routing, user profiles with different levels of privileges, broadcasting and addition of Indian Financial Service Codes (IFSC). For each message a 31digit code will be generated by SFMS and this will be the unique transaction identifier. This comprises of 4 digits Bank code, 1 reserved bit (for future use), 6 digit branch code, 14 digit date time stamp and 6 digit sequence number generated at branch level.
