Work Experience
Information Learning Technologies Lab Consultant; Santa Cruz, CA – September 2013 -May 2014 Primary duty was to make sure the labs ran smoothly during my shifts. This included monitoring the labs, imposing procedures, and providing help to all customers that entered the lab, whether it was by answering questions, assisting them with various applications, or helping solve any technical issues they encountered with the computer stations.
Information Learning Technologies Student Manager; Santa Cruz, CA – May 2014-August 2015 After working for 8 months as a lab consultant, I was promoted to the Student Manager position. I was part of a Manager team that consisted of three other students and one supervisor. I helped oversee about 40 lab consultants, sent important emails and responded to consultant questions on a daily basis, held consultant evaluations and dealt with any issues that could arise in the labs. My personal duties focused on trainings (which ranged from 15-30 students, 3 times a year) and creating and posting lab signs (including lab hours, lab procedures and safety signs). I gained experience working in teams, completing individual tasks, and feel comfortable over-seeing large groups and ensuring an efficient and enjoyable work environment.
Disney College Program: Disney Desk; Anaheim, CA - August 2015 - Present My role while participating in the Fall 2015 Disney College Program focuses on providing Disneyland Resort ticket sales and information to our guests. In this position I work independently in ten different Good Neighbor hotel locations, manage large amounts of cash and ticket inventory, and use point of sale applications such as Galaxy and Bullseye. My role is to create magic for the guests at our neighboring hotels, as guest service is most important. Whether I am using my extensive knowledge of the Disneyland Resort to accommodate guests and plan their time at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, or by helping with guest recovery, my service is to insure a happy and memorable visit.
