Computer systems used included MAPICS and Oracle initially and SAP since October, 2014.
Facility will be closing during 2015 as the operations move out of state.

I purchased a variety of component items such as military spec adhesives, chemicals, coatings, office supplies, electrical items, etc.
I was also responsible for obtaining the correct paperwork such as Certificate of Compliance, Shelf Life Statement, and MSDS sheets.
Woodward MPC is a manufacturer of aerospace components.
I was able to maintain or reduce costs on many items such as electrical components, wire, heat-shrink tubing, etc.
Aggressively pursued part shortages in order to meet shipping requirements.
Often dealt with long lead-times and shelf life requirements that were unique to the aerospace industry.

Reduced the part shortage report from 35 pages to 5 pages over a two year period at this medical equipment manufacturer.
Assisted in converting the computer system from MANMAN to MAPICS.
When required I covered the Purchasing Manager’s responsibilities.
Kept smooth delivery of parts when company had severe cash flow problems.
Spent between $3,000,000 and $4,000,000 annually with approximately 400 vendors.
Assisted in the annual physical inventory.
Was part of the quality audit committee to verify procedures were being followed by the various departments.
Key commodities responsible for included bearings, controllers, electrical items, overseas sourcing, glassware, hinges, knobs, motors, steel & aluminum, pans, power transmission parts, sensors, sheet metal fabrication, thermometers, and shelves.
Purchased electronic parts such as circuit breakers, integrated circuits, rheostats, switches, etc.
Purchased MRO items when required. This has included abrasives; cutting tools; (drills, taps, reamers, end mills); building & janitorial supplies; computer supplies; engineering supplies; and anything else needed to keep our operation running.
