I want to indulge in a challenging career that will test my knowledge and sharpen my skills and abilities further providing me generous opportunities to get the best out of me for the development of industry. MINOR Project I
Project Title: Detailed Study of the Geological features and Outcrop Analysis of the Krol formation, Lesser Himalayas (Dehradun - Mussorie traverse)
Mentor: Dr. Uday Bhan, Asst. Professor, (Dept. of Petroleum Engineering & Earth Sciences, UPES) Description: The project deals with the detailed practical study and outcrop analysis of the formation. It included identification of various features and explanation of their origin. Further the application of sampling techniques to collect samples from various locations was performed. The project was completely practical in approach.
MINOR Project II
Project Title: Petrographical and Petrophysical Study along with Geochemical Analysis of Krol formation, Lesser Himalayas (Dehradun - Mussorie traverse)
Mentor: Dr. Uday Bhan, Asst. Prof (Dept. of Petroleum Engineering & Earth Sciences, UPES) Dr. Sanjeev Dubey, Asst. Prof (Dept of Chemistry)
Description: The project deals with the study of textural properties such as Grain size analysis, grain-to-grain contact and roundness. The project included the preparation of Thin section of collected samples for petrographical analysisis. Core plugs were cut and porosity measurement was performed with the help of porositymeter to comment on the petrophysical properties. Lastly UV analysis was done on samples to study its geochemical aspects.
