Title : supersonic nozzle flow stimulation & it experiments Done at : ISRO Valiyamala
Description : A Supersonic Convergent-divergent nozzle is a varying cross section area duct, which is used to expand& accelerate high –pressure gases to achieve supersonic velocities,at the exit of the nozzle. When the supersonic flow comes out of the nozzle & interact with the ambient, a series of shocks are formed. In the present study, computational analysis of a convergent divergent nozzle is carried out to stimulate the flow pattern & shock structure inside & outside the nozzle al various pressure ratios. Simulation experiments have also been carried out to visualize the nozzle plume using Schlieren flow visualization technique.
