WORK AND RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Laurentain University (Ph.D) 2012–present

Involved in a subproject of Integrated Monitoring and Control System for Deep Mining with CEMI.

Theory research in mining seismicity and rock burst (adapt to challenging issue).

Strong advanced numerical analysis. Knowledge in various advanced numerical codes in rock mechanics and seismic wave propagation.

Developed a non-uniform velocity model independently, which is more practical in underground mines.

Proposed a new modeling methodology for ground motion estimation near excavations.

Performed lab tests, including UCS tests and acoustic velocity tests of rock samples.

Conducted rock bolts strength tests, static pull test and dynamic drop test of weird mesh.

Secondary development with Matlab, Python, FISH, and Fortran.

Technical writing for proposals, scientific reports and publications. China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) (Master) 2009–2012

Performed field survey in primary stage in Xuan Dong coal mine including the geological data collection and transferring, and rock and coal samples preparation.

Conducted Lab tests (UCS and Triaxial test) in CUMTB.

Installed test instrument and sensors in the bore holes to monitor ground pressure.

Field observation in Xuan Dong coal mines for 2 months.

Conducted numerical simulation using UDEC to model the strata movement behavior.

Performed field tests for floor failure depth in Xing Tai coal mine (waste rock backfill).

The primary writer for three project research reports . EDUCATION Ph.D.
