Duties included: I started working at #7 underground as a supervisor in the outby.
Then I was given an opportunity to go to the Canadian operations in 2012 were I first trained employees to operate various types of heavy equipment efficiently and safely.
Then I was promoted to Foreman and overseen all daily of aspects of the mine, plant crushers, all mining equipment, shovels, drills, blasting, dozers, rock trucks, motorgrader, removal of coal from pit to crushers and washers and employees.
I made sure we meet our daily quota on coal production to meet our orders.
Also the loading and hauling of the coal from the plant. I made sure the mine was in compliance with all safety rules and mining requirements by the Canadian government.
Carried out safety meetings each morning with all employees of the mine, employees, foremans, blasting crew, maintenance, production supervisors.
Also, made daily tours thru the mine looking for ways to help my supervisors, looking for safety and helping with production.
Closed mining operations in Canada.

Company was sold to Heckett Multi Serve and I had the chance to make more money at walter energy.

I trained the employees on heavy equipment, rock crushers, shovels, apron feeders.
Our goal on the apron feeders after the d11 pushed materials to them was to have the feeder ready to move to the next shot, because time was money.
We had 80 D11 dozers pushing to the crushers and feeders.
Made sure that daily production was made.
My son had a motorcycle wreck and I needed a job closer to home to help with him.
Then I went to Shoal Creek as a mine foreman under Rich Painter.
