PROFILE

I am an experienced Senior Stress/Structures Engineer who is experienced in manual and computer aided Stressing techniques, production estimating, project estimating, pricing, production and assembly of Aircraft and Ship sub-assemblies and I also have knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques. I am used to working within a team, in a fast moving design/production environment and I am also very computer literate. My aim is to work in a professional company where I can use my experience and expertise to help improve the company's business.

Stress analysis of the metallic structure of the Boeing Tx Military Trainer using Patran and Nastran for FEM/FEA and MathCad for load extraction from FE Models and hand calculations. From 1999 to 2001 worked in the AAR & Nimrod Support Team working on VC10 & Nimrod Spares & Repairs answering Production Permits, Concessions & Works Query Notes from other departments on site & sub-contractors. My duties also included compiling and validating/signing off Design Office Memorandums for Nimrod repairs & Repair Instruction Sheets for VC10 repairs from various sub-contractors and answering Requests for Design Advice from RAF bases at St Athan, Brize Norton and Kinloss. In this role I was an official stress signatory for BAE Systems, Chadderton Design Authority Aircraft, namely VC10 & Nimrod aircraft.

1995-1996 Senior Estimating Engineer

In addition to the tasks performed by an Estimating Engineer, involvement in the preparation of cost estimates for modifications to various aircraft to supply to our prime customer, the Ministry of Defence. To discuss, negotiate and agree our estimates with the M.O.D. Software used was Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.

Preparation of cost estimates for details and sub assemblies, whether composites, machined or fabricated items. Using an in-depth knowledge of production, manufacturing and assembly techniques, process and material specifications, drawing office procedures, cost allocation procedures and overhead allocation.
