My name is Derrick Jackson, born August 4, 1979. Finished Wilmer Hutchins High school in 1997.I have a valid state drivers license. Worked at fast food restaurants while in school and was looking for better. Enlisted into the Navy in May of 1998 and exit August of 1998 with a medical discharge(flat feet). Started my warehouse experience at United Postal Services September of 1998 where I loaded/unloaded trailers and sorted mail packages. Exit U.P.S. in November of 2000 seeking better pay. Late November 2000 I worked at O'Riley's Distribution Center in maintenance. Which consisted of building construction, wiring, forklift repair, welding, and facility maintenance. Exit O'Riley's D.C. in April of 2002 seeking growth and better pay. April of 2002 I worked for Pro Staff Temp. Service which sent me to Wal-Mart Distribution Center and was hired on permanently in May of 2003. I started as a loader/unloader using GLS and went to maintenance which consist of facility maintenance, battery changing, wiring, lite construction, lite welding, fire watch, and hazardous material disposal that is OSHA compliant. Also back-up yard driver using the YMS. I currently float around the building going where ever needed, quick learner, safe, and dependable. 2006 I attended Texas Barber College and finished in 2007 while still working at the Wal-Mart D.C. Adaptable warehouse product coordinator with 13 years of experience at Wal-Mart Distribution Center, including in maintenance, yard driver, and forklift operation. With extensive experience in material handling, inspections and shipping and receiving. Focused on continual process improvement and cost reduction.
