1. Bhushan Steel & Power Ltd., Sambalpur, Orissa.

Current status: Working with Bhushan Power & Steel Limited since June 2013 as Asst- Engineer in Compact Strip Production mill (CSP) Caster (Operation) department. Work Profile:

Working on Siemens PCS7 system with level II automation and SAP for casting process.

Working as shift-in-charge.

Smooth casting of thin slab (47-60 mm thickness) with various width ranges of 850 mm to 1350 mm.

Perfect & manageable communication with SMS, Mill & PPC for smooth and long sequence casting.

Working in segment shop & Tundish shop.

Work with Mechanical & Electrical dept during maintenance.

Preparation of MIS, Stock and reports, Manpower & material handling.

Analysis of success and failure through E-DAS.

Achievements:

Successful casting of 55 heats in a single seq and casting time of 37 hr 50 min in CSP.

PROJECT WORK/ TRAINING

Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited, Ranchi, Jharkhand. (May-June 2012) Studied maintenance and machining operations of various machine tools through shop- floor visits in plants: Foundry and Forging Plant (FFP), Heavy Machine Building Plant

(HMBP), Heavy Machine Tool Plant (HMTP). Also visit to Project Division was quite fruitful in knowing all the process involved in developing a new plant project.

Bokaro Steel Plant(SAIL), Bokaro, Jharkhand. (Dec 2011) Visited the HRD department, RM & HP, SMS-2 & CCS, SL Mill, HSM, HRCF, CRM, Cock oven Plant, Water Management. A Comprehensive Analysis of the Steel Making Process was done.

Project Work

Tube to Tube-Plate Welding. (May - June 2011)

Under the supervision of: Dr. S. Muthukumaran.

Friction stir welding of tube to tube-plate for Aluminum. The process based on friction welding was done at the in-house welding equipment at NIT Trichy. Difference in the microstructures at the welding and base metal, optimizing conditions for welding were observed.
