Management of monthly and quarterly closing process ensuring completeness and accuracy of consolidated financial statements.

Management, mentoring and training of one General Accountant, one Junior Accountant, one Senior Financial Analyst, one Supply Chain/Procurement Specialist and Payroll and Benefits Specialist.

Accomplishments:

Within the first four months worked with IT to enact operating platform changes which facilitated better integration with SAP, thus reducing the number of manual journal entries at month end.

Due to ERP implementation DSO had worsened as there was a shift in focus. Created a strategy to re-focus activity ensuring that this KPI was brought back in line with targets within 2 months.

Management of end to end, full cycle monthly and year-end accounting and finance, including regulatory compliance for all provinces and all treasury and FX functions.

Preparation and presentation of annual budgets and quarterly forecast to Global Leadership Team and work closely with Local and Corporate executive teams to design strategic direction for our business unit.

Ownership of annual and five month rolling production forecast, working with sales, marketing and factory leads to perform GAP analysis and plan/execute action plans when needed.
