Fifteen years of Wireless RF regulatory management. ACCOMPLISHMENTS / EXPERIENCE
Lead the migration of airspace/terminal procedure analysis in-house, by obtaining required FAA training resulting in a total savings of 500K annually.
Managed regulatory aspect for several wireless network build-outs of various sizes and scopes and regulatory Key Performance Indicators (‘KPI”).
Managed several RF regulatory tools that are used by internal and external business partners.
Established standards, network practices, procedures and company regulatory policies for wireless cell sites, which includes MPE / RF exposure safety limits, AM interference, FAA Part 77 Objects affecting navigable airspace, FCC’s commission licensee responsibilities (antenna structure compliance and tower light monitoring) and state requirements.
Managed tower light responsibilities with NOC by partnering with the governance team.
Responsible for Sprint's regulatory business that is managed by third party network service provider and peers that perform the regulatory duties.
Trained regional staff in airspace, TERPs and in understanding federal rules. Trained network service providers, OEMs and other functional teams in understanding federal requirements and its implications to the company.
Liaison to senior federal officials.
Interacted closely with company legal team and PCIA in keeping up with relevant changes to federal, state and local regulations pertaining to wireless telecommunications.
SME level RF regulatory guidance to other functional teams within and outside the company. (ex., site development, network service providers, suppliers, OEMs and government affairs).
Outlined requirements, timelines, process details and measurements for assessment of project success.
Controlled costs associated with regulatory projects by continuous coordination between OEMs, suppliers and management service providers in ensuring smooth and flawless execution of these projects in a timely manner.
Developed Work Level Agreements (“WLA”) for various projects.
Developed several automation tools to minimize the regulatory work, performance and verification thereby reducing headcount.
Established audit process at different levels of the project such as pre- and post-NTP and on-air audits. Managed compliance requirements for various projects by performing weekly audits to meet compliance standards.
Negotiated supplier pricing and established Scope of Work (“SOW”) for suppliers.
