Senior Manager Manufacturing (May 2014)
Managed the production of optical prescription lenses for a facility that produces 40K individual customer Rx’s per week. After only 6 months in this position I was given total responsibility for all manufacturing at our facility which was originally managed by 3 Senior Managers and 1 Manager. In this role I manage a team consisting of 8 Supervisors, 1 Manager and approximately 300 associates across multiple shifts of a 24/7 operation.
Accomplishments:
-Established numerous policies in order to create standardization across all shifts and departments as well as influenced policy across the network
-Developed the performance management policy as well as the tracking mechanism in order to better communicate employee performance against expectation
-Developed training, recruiting and staffing plan model that was adopted throughout the network in order to prepare the network for peaking staffing requirements
-Have assisted in the OQ/PQ of several pieces of new equipment for the manufacturing operations
-Led Green Belt project in the surface blocking area with an estimated savings of 50K annually for labor efficiency and breakage reduction
-Currently leading project for reducing breakage while increasing capacity and throughput for anti-reflective coating applications
-Structured professional development plans for Supervisors in order to better prepare them for additional responsibility
-Assisted in strategic planning for future state of the manufacturing process within the network, as well as executive level planning and forecasting activities
-Developed numerous mechanisms for tracking labor efficiency, staffing models in order to quickly calculate changes to labor requirements, as well as machine capacity models for adjusting to down equipment
Advanced Technology Maintenance Manager
In this role I was responsible for the maintenance activities on well over 100 pieces of equipment utilized in the manufacturing of prescription optical lenses. Additionally my team was responsible for the daily maintenance of the facility. I managed a team which consisted of 1 Supervisor, 4 Team Leads, and 16 Technicians.
Accomplishments:
-Led the merger of two maintenance departments
-Developed financial forecast model for predicting monthly spend to budget
-Increased employee productivity through regular feedback as well as increased focus on training
-While process owner for the generating platform, developed process for evaluating deviations in the generating process in order to centerline our manufacturing process

Business Unit Maintenance Manager
As the Business Unit Maintenance Manager I was responsible for the maintenance activities on over 100 rolling assets spread between four locations in Southwest Louisiana. In this position I managed a staff of over 20 individuals to include administrative staff, technicians, and supervisors.
Accomplishments:
-Overcame a significant budget deficit within six months of starting in this role by identifying areas of waste and correcting
-Reduced tire spend by 50% through technician and driver education as well as policy development
-Leveraged relationships with vendors to get additional training for technicians resulting in all technicians getting TIA certified, as well as training on new emissions systems
-Managed third party contracts for all compactor and container repairs

District Fleet Manager
Serving as the District Fleet Manager for Waste Management, I was responsible for overseeing vehicle maintenance activities of over 70 pieces of equipment, as well as compactor and container repairs. I directly supervised between 15 and 20 employees at any one time.
Accomplishments:
-Training and employee accountability resulted in a 20% improvement in PM compliance.
-Increased warranty recovery by 60% through process improvement in tracking and claims submission
-Received zero notices of violation from the Ohio EPA while tasked with performing site surveys of our facility to ensure we were compliant with the Storm Water Pollution and Prevention Program as well as the Spill Prevention Control Countermeasures.
-Expanded compactor repair services to include weld shop for container repairs which enabled the elimination of 3rd party repair cost for container maintenance on well over 1000 receiver boxes and containers.

Shop Foreman
As Shop Foreman, I was responsible for three maintenance teams each consisting of a Squad Leader and 5 to 7 team members, as well as the vehicle recovery team.
Accomplishments:
-Several commendations including four Army Commendation Medals and the Iraq Campaign Medal
-While deployed in Iraq increased equipment readiness from 35% to 95% and increased PM compliance to 100%
-As the Retention NCO for the unit, I had the best retention percentage in the Battalion despite reduced bonus packages provided due to the military down sizing

State Trooper
As a State Trooper, I performed traffic enforcement for approximately six years. I spent two years assigned to the Office of Investigative Services as a Plain Clothes Investigator. While in this position, I worked several high profile cases ranging from identity theft and fraud to homicide.
