Responsibilities handled-

Collaborate with PM/Business Owner/RDL (Requirements Delivery Lead) to generate/contribute to scope definition.

Create initial estimation and work on resource allocation, create matrices to monitor project health.

Project Title: Allstate North Carolina. Propagator.

Key Contribution Area-

The main focus of Allstate North Carolina Propagator team is enhancement and deployment various new insurance products of Allstate for North Carolina state via mainframes and ticket resolving. Created and maintained COBOL programs to deploy them in production as per client requirements.

As a lead BA planned and suggested the approach to business stake holders.

Co-ordinated with Tech SME’s to leverage existing process and systems which helped in keeping the budget in check and allowed easy integration with existing applications.

This initiative significantly reduced the manual effort and was appreciated by client.

Role – Senior Analyst

Draft Business/Client Requirement Document (BRD/CRD) and get it approved from client.

Create a functional design, Test Strategy document and high level test scenarios based on CRD and pass it to development team.

The main focus of Allstate Corrective Action team is resolving the Corporate Compliance Issues by identifying incorrectly charged customer policies and correcting the same.

Hosting & driving high level discussions with the Corrective Action Team and all the stakeholders for the understanding of the Compliance work request.

Writing COBOL / DB2 programs.

Weekly status reporting on all Corrective Action work requests including the SAP (Streamlined Audit Process) which are COBOL programs or Allcorp Data Warehouse (ADW) which are SQL queries.

Prepare Design document, from the requirements provided.

Build audit routines using COBOL or SQL in line with the Policy Identification criteria.

Consolidate and verify results of SAP or ADW audit program. Generate reports out of audit results which are then sent to Customer and Enterprise System (CES) team for the review and approval.

Write COBOL code, JCL routines for the data and premium correction of the broken policies.

Description

A Cash Balance Plan is a defined benefit plan that expresses benefits for each employee by reference to the amount in a Cash Balance Account. The balance grows based on interest credits as defined in the pension plan. Most Cash Balance Plans permit distribution of the employee’s entire accrued benefit in the form of a single-sum after termination of employment. Alternatively, the employee is typically given the option of leaving the balance in the account to earn interest and then converting the Cash Balance to one of the pension plan’s annuity options on an actuarially equivalent basis once they become eligible for retirement.
