Professional Accomplishments

Developed, wrote, and implemented the first-ever Greenhouse Gas Monitoring and Reporting Plans for Alagasco pursuant to 40 CFR Part 98 for Subpart NN and Subpart W.

Managed and oversaw several UST closure projects.

Managed and oversaw a $4.5 million remediation project for a former Manufactured Gas Plant site.

Developed, wrote, and implemented Alagasco’s Universal Waste Management Plan.

Alabama Gas Corporation (Alagasco) Birmingham, AL

Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist Oct 2010 – Present

Responsibilities:

GREEN HOUSE GAS REPORTING: Responsible for establishing and managing systems to track and report greenhouse gas emissions of Alagasco and/or its customers to comply with federal, state, and/or any local government requirements.

SARA TITLE III REPORTING: Coordinates the timely reporting of SARA Title III, Tier II forms to ADEM and applicable Emergency Management Authority offices and fire departments.

UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS: Assist in managing 16 USTs currently owned by Alagasco to ensure that USTs remain in compliance with State regulations.

RESIDENTIAL MERCURY REGULATOR REMOVAL PROGRAM: Responsible for managing Alagasco's residential mercury regulator removal program.

EXCAVATED SPOIL MATERIALS: Establishes and maintains policies and procedures for the management of excavated spoil materials state-wide.

COAL TAR PIPE WRAP: Establishes and maintains procedures for the management of coal tar pipe wrap removed from Alagasco’s buried lines.

HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT: Establishes and maintains procedures for the characterization and management of hazardous wastes generated by Alagasco. Submits annual Notices of Regulated Waste Activity (NORWA) to ADEM. Maintains files and/or databases of Hazardous Waste Manifests and EPA Generator ID numbers.

PIPELINE LIQUIDS MANAGEMENT: Establishes and maintains procedures for the characterization and management of any pipeline liquids generated by Alagasco.

AIR PERMITTING: Manages all environmental air permitting including Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) and Jefferson County Department of Health air regulatory permitting programs. Interacts with regulatory agencies to submit permit applications and to resolve permitting and compliance issues associated with Alagasco’s air permits. Works closely with Alagasco LNG facility personnel regarding permitting and compliance.

Responsibilities:

Reviewed Phase I, Phase II, and other pertinent Environmental Documents to determine if such assessments provided the bank with adequate environmental due diligence concerning a property or corporation.

Prepared Environmental Risk Evaluations based on the Environmental Documents reviewed and the applicable environmental laws and regulations.
