EXPERIENCE:

Presently working as ELECTRICAL TEST ENGINEER (Testing and Calibration) at ELECTRONICS REGIONAL TEST LABORATORY [ERTL(E)], Dept. of Electronics and IT, (Govt. of India), Kolkata posted at the Opto-electronics, Battery testing and SOLAR PV Module and BOS test laboratory by Ecentric solutions.

Also currently working under Govt. of India project for – STANDARDISATION TESTING AND QUALITY CERTIFICATION (STQC) & Off-grid Solar Applications Scheme (2013-2014) of MINISTRY OF NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY (MNRE / JNNSM).

Previously posted as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Autometrix Robotics and Engineering Solutions, Kolkata and worked in collaboration with TITAGARH WAGONS LIMITED at their facilities at Titagarh and Hind motor.

Also previously designated as Contractual Apprentice Electrical Engineer at West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (W.B.S.E.D.C.L), (Govt. of West Bengal) posted at Bidhannagar Division II Supply and Maintenance office since February 2014.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERTISE (Area of Work):

Successfully conducting and performing Design qualification and Type approval tests for Crystalline silicon PV modules as per IEC 61215:2005/IS 14286:2010 covering test levels such as Temperature coefficient and NOCT measurements, Performance tests at NOCT & STC using Solar Simulator (Make-PASAN), Performance test at low irradiance, UV preconditioning of the modules with the help of UV radiation tester, Mechanical Load Resistance test using MLRT at 2400 Pa uniform load, Hail test using Hail impact tester, Thermal cycling test and Humidity freeze test using walk-in high and low alternating temperature chamber etc.

Successfully conducting performance tests for CFL and W-LED based Off-grid solar application lighting systems 2013-2014 (latest) specified by Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) covering clauses such as performance tests (Voc, Isc, MPP, Module & Cell Efficiency, Fill Factor) of PV modules at STC, Capacity and DOD testing of Solar Battery at C/10, C/20 etc. hour rate, Illumination tests of lighting sources, Electronic Efficiency, Protection tests with CCU, Duty cycle and Autonomy for both CFL AND W-LED based solar lantern, home and street lighting system.

Successfully conducting Type (Marking, Dimensions, Capacity, AH%, WH%, ROC, Endurance ), Acceptance and Performance tests on Stationary Cells and Batteries (Tubular/VRLA/SFM) as per IS 1651, IS 1652, IS 13369, IS 15549 using BITRODE Automatic Battery Tester.

Well versed in carrying out performance tests for Solar PV Water Pumping System (2014-2015 / 2015-2016) for both drinking/non-drinking water applications, Unidirectional Solar Lighting (Solar Torch) and IEC 61646 for Thin film PV modules.

Preparation of Govt. of India Reports for the above as per IS/IEC standards and traceability also acquainted with QA program of STQC, Govt. of India.

Good with MS Office (excel, word, power point), Management Information System (MIS) and also handling customers from Solar PV, Opto-electronics and Battery sector of the Indian industry.
