After kick-off meeting and reviewing project contract and specifications And put in place ITPs revel lent to our survey group, pier drilling contractor and underground electrical grounding and duct banks, OWS and SWS piping. Made sure all understood the path forward and hold points involved such as pile testing, lateral load, compression, axial loading. I was hands on to insure each procedure had been followed. All compaction, nuclear density were held within specs. Held in shop walk through and review of our batch plant and N.D.E. Provider. Built geographical survey package. Civil packages per foundation. Pile drilling package. Electrical assured grounding package and separated duct bank package. Ordered electrodes for job and set up inventory. Interviewed welders and reviewed by- laws and procedures with them. Held job by job start up meetings per discipline also had weekly update meetings with the client.

This project is the first refinery built from the ground up in the United States in thirty seven years. From the quality aspect I had to establish, implement all our procedural controls. Review signed contracts and DPR, City, State and Federal ordinances, codes and regulations before ground was broken and set in place the means to insure adhesion to procedure. To include land management, soil erosion and control, nuclear density testing, helical pile load testing, Visiting sub-contractor facilities including batch plants, N.D.E. contractors, Steel fabricators, pressure vessel, equipment fabricators and pipe fabrication shops for purposes of reviewing their quality control programs, monitor activities and verify conformance to contract requirements, Insure inspection and testing requirements are met and documented. Hold Bi-weekly QA/QC meetings with client, engineers and GM supervision. I solely was responsible for the direction of our QA personnel and the disciplines they head up at the DPR Project.
