Senior Sales Manager with Aviva Life Insurance Ltd, a joint venture between the Dabur Group & Aviva Plc of UK with a heritage of over 300yrs.

After returning to India in July’14, joined Aviva Life Insurance at its Chennai branch with a mandate to recruit a team of insurance advisors and ensure they go through the necessary training as well as mentor them in generating insurance business.

October 2011 to February 2014

Business Head – Africa with MM Worldmart (E.A) Ltd, Nairobi, a subsidiary of the Government of India recognized Star Export & Trading house – MM Exports Ltd which is based out of Chennai, Tamilnadu, India, a diversified and progressive Business House with a turnover exceeding $100 M.

Interior Evolution (K) Ltd, is a part of the Orbit Enterprises Group having considerable interests in Construction, Aluminium Glazing & Interior Fit-outs. This company represents many global companies and distributors for Architectural Ironmongery like automatic door closers, frameless glass doors fittings, patch fittings, sliding door gears, door handles, locks, etc from HALFELE Gmbh from Germany, Carpets from BRINTONS of UK and Standard Carpets of UAE, Curtain Rods, Blinds etc from SILENT GLISS of UK, Marmoleum Floorings from FORBO among others.

Responsibilities Included:

●Identifying new and upcoming projects in the field of construction.

●Liaising with key consultants like Project Managers, Architects & Quantity Surveyors to Identify Greenfield construction projects.

Athi River Mining Ltd, a public listed company on the Nairobi Stock Exchange and having factories at Athi River & Kaloleni, manufactures Cement, Fertilisers, Minerals, Lime, building products, etc. After Initially heading the Special product division catering to the construction industry, I was moved to head the Fertilisers division.

Responsibilities Included

●Recruitment and training of sales force.

●Building up the brand of Mavuno Fertilisers.

●Creating a network of distributors and dealers for the company's products.

●Creating and Implementing sales Force Appraisal Systems.

●Liaising with factory to manufacture client specific fertiliser blends.

This company was a distributor of automatic door hardware systems like Automatic door closer, Frameless glass door, patch fittings, sliding doors, revolving doors, shower cubicles, etc from DORMA Gmbh of Germany. Besides it was one of the leading Structural Glazing companies in Chennai.
