HighstreetIT, Islandia NY - Sr Project Manager - April 2012 to March 2015

●Managed all aspects of IT infrastructure projects, both client facing and internal. Types of projects: Network infrastructure installs/upgrades, VMware implementations, MS Exchange installs/upgrades/migrations, Cisco VoIP installs/moves, Network Infrastructure assessments, Cloud backup solutions, Nimsoft monitoring and “Managed Services” solutions.

oUnfettered access to forty IT professionals - successfully closed one hundred and ten projects which generated in excess of $10 million in revenue.

oCreated a Project Management Office (PMO) for client facing and internal IT projects.

Accomplishments include:

NYC Special Prosecutor: Conversion from the existing NEC phone system to CISCO VoIP. Installed Cisco CUCM call management, Cisco voice routers, Catalyst POE Switches, two hundred phones, Integrated ASVT voicemail system and Integrated Rightfax system. Terminated and tested two hundred desktop computers. Managed knowledge transfer, IT staff administrator training and end user training.

Nassau County NY Traffic Management Center – Traffic signal WAN project: Furnished and installed Cisco 6500 series 9-slot Chassis, power supplies, supervision engine and three 48-port Catalyst switches. Installed ninety six SFP Modules. Staged, configured and, shipped thirty nine Catalyst 2901 switches for WAN deployment by Nassau electricians. Managed knowledge transfer and administrator training for Nassau County’s IT staff.

Union for Reform Judaism DMVPN project: Replaced the existing MPLS WAN, which spans twenty one sites, with broadband connectivity. These sites are connected via VPN tunneling. Cisco equipment used: ASA5515 firewalls, 3700 and 2900 series Catalyst switches. Managed knowledge transfer, IT staff administrator training and end user training. Implemented HighstreetIT Managed Services Agreement and systems “remote monitoring” turn-up.

Lavazza Coffee US Headquarters: Installed Cisco CUCM call management, Cisco voice routers, Catalyst POE Switches, fifty phones. Terminated and tested fifty Desktop computers. Managed knowledge transfer, IT staff administrator training and, end user training. Implemented HighstreetIT Managed Services Agreement and systems “remote monitoring” turn-up.

MTA NY, NY – Director Police support - November 2008 to April 2009

●Assembled a team of twenty IT specialists to test and support the multi-agency Integrated Electronic Security System (IESS). Participated in multi-agency sub-committees to establish operational and technical policy. Established policy for testing, training and maintenance for the following systems: Intergraph, Lenel and Broadware.

NYPD Office of IT services– Sr Project manager (Lieutenant) - April 2004 to February 2008

●Project Manager - $16 million dollar, PacStar WAN satellite communications continuity project: 2.4 meter Satellite dishes installed at one hundred twenty four key sites. Data and Voice business continuity.

This System utilized Cisco 2811 routers with Cisco VSAT modules. Catalyst 6513 Chassis were deployed at Main hub sits.

●Board Member - $120 million dollar, Citywide Microsoft LAN/WAN conversion and desktop remediation project. Responsible for: risk assessment, resource development, cost analysis, vendor selection, manpower allocation and scheduling.

●LAN Section Manager - Desktop installation, maintenance and support citywide - seventy employees.

NYPD Electronics Division - Sr Project Manager (Sergeant) - April 1996 to February 2004

●Project Manager for all NYPD security systems installations (two hundred eighty three locations).

●Designed electronic security systems for two hundred eighty three NYPD locations citywide. Managed several installation and service teams. Procured equipment and, maintained stockroom. Annual budget: $5 million dollars.

●Watch Commander for the Citywide Police Radio System (three hundred sites) - Coordinated service restoration for outages at any sites.

NYPD 19th Precinct NY, NY. – Sergeant - April 1994 – April 1996

●First response supervisor for critical calls such as fires, bomb threats, building collapses, emotionally disturbed persons, evacuations, and serious crime. Responsible for prisoner safety, station house security, personnel assignments and personnel evaluations.
