Professional Experience
●Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education Cincinnati, OH. As an intern for CHHE developed a number of components for educational programming .Primary work focused on the development of a Holocaust survivor “Eyewitness Kit” for use in schools aimed at students in grades six through eight These components included: developing a lesson plan, editing Holocaust survivor oral testimony into a video for classroom use, developing a guide for administering the lesson plan, creating facsimiles of artifacts for student use in classroom and creating an interactive map utilizing Google earth to show survivor’s journey during and after World War II.
oWhile developing project, organized and implemented an educator workshop to ask questions and obtain input from teachers and faculty on best ways to integrate the kit into the school year.
oContacted similar programs throughout the United States to obtain information on how different programs in different states were attempting to achieve their goals.
oWhile at the Center also performed various duties as an office assistant and helped in implementation of scheduled center events.
oWrote a successful grant application to help fund the project.
●Graduate Student, Northern Kentucky University Community Partners Projects. Served in a number of capacities while graduate student at Northern Kentucky University and worked on projects with community partners that included:
oFort Thomas Military and Community Museum. Worked on archiving the museum's inventory into Past Perfect for easy availability and access.
oGrant County Black History Museum. Filmed, transcribed and edited oral history interviews related to African American education in Grant County Kentucky. Also worked on developing a website for museum that helped to catalog work of previous Grant County historians.
oNational Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Served on the public relations committee for the “Music of Change” exhibit which opened in 2012.Also worked on “viral video” for the exhibit opening.
oCity of New Richmond Ohio/ Ross-Gowdy House. One of two executive directors in charge of developing a museum exhibit for the city’s Ross-Gowdy House in conjunction with the Bicentennial celebration of New Richmond in May of 2013. Duties included making sure the various committees worked together in creation of a museum exhibit that celebrated the diverse heritage of New Richmond along the Ohio River. Also served on the research committee obtaining reliable information for exhibit panels.
Employment History
●Server. October 2015-November 2015. Briefly served at new Rusty Bucket restaurant in new Liberty Center development that opened in late October.
●Expo. August 2015.Via Vite restaurant located on fountain square in downtown Cincinnati. Expo responsible for the food orders being communicated to the back of the house, and that each particular dish being garnished properly before being delivered to the guest
●Server. May 2015- August 2015. CRAVE Restaurant downtown Cincinnati location (directly across from Great American Ballpark). Served wide variety of food and beverages to customers in a fast paced high volume fine dining restaurant.
●Server Assistant. March 2015- April 2015. Café Mediterranean Hyde Park location. Assisted servers bartenders hosts and guests in restaurant as much as possible in a whatever way needed.
●Team Leader/Front Desk General Sales Representative. February 2013-September 2014. Extended Stay America Hotels. As Team Leader for all hourly employees, responsible for ensuring that Housekeeping cleans rooms properly and that employees met management standards. Also responsible for assisting General Manager in completion of sales calls, customer outreach customer service and problem resolution. Worked extensively as front desk representative and as Night Laundry attendant before becoming Team Leader.
●Intern. November 2012- May 2013. Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education. Worked on developing an Eyewitness Kit” during last semester of graduate school. Kit creation was developed to combat the coming problem of Holocaust survivors no longer being with us in the coming years. See Professional Experience section.
●Parts Manager/Office Assistant. June 2010- August 2011. So-Low Environmental Equipment Company Inc. Managed parts department of worldwide manufacturer and distributor of industrial and medical ultra-low freezers.
●Line Worker. 2007-2009. Staffmark Inc./Kelly Services. For three straight summers and during one winter break while in college I worked as a picker and packer at Topicz Inc. where I was responsible for ensuring orders were picked and packed correctly and other shipping and receiving duties were carried out as needed. Also worked at the massive Amazon distribution plant in Walton KY as picker/packer and order checker.Worked at other various factories and manufacturing pants stacking pallets of Smuckers jelly, stuffing envelopes and mail inserts, and performing light assembly of cardboard placards and plastic manufacturing pieces.
●Driver Assistant. 2007-2009 Holiday seasons. United Parcel Service. Worked with UPS drivers three holiday seasons delivering and picking up packages. Commended by drivers for excellent customer service.
