Senior Construction Manager
Oversee the execution of multiple simultaneous construction projects for 60 stores in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Estimate and manage $7.5 million in annual remodel projects and capital expenditures. Partner with Store Planning department to ensure that applications, inspections, and permits (inclusive of construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are accurate, timely, and in compliance with regulations. Provide executive management with detailed schedules and spreadsheets to document the progress of all projects.
Spearheaded the installation of Sunglass Hut shops in all stores. Installations were completed early and within the allocated $2 million budget.
Provided strong pre-opening support for 3 new stores, averaging 180K SF each. Partnered with owner to make changes and accounted for all fixtures and materials prior to opening in order to minimize negative impact on merchandising.
Facilitated the closings of 3 underperforming stores by collaborating with management to sell fixtures to various liquidators and move lighting materials to other stores.

Managed a $40 million construction budget for building expenses, HVAC, electrical, roofing, perimeter fixtures, and all other capital-related purchases to provide administrative support to 72 stores and 3 distribution centers throughout Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Louisiana. Oversaw compliance with state and city code requirements pertaining to ADA, CFC, Hazmat, Life Safety, and vertical transportation requirements. Collaborated with Store Planning department to ensure that applications and permits were completed accurately. Maintained strong relationships with store management to minimize projects’ negative impact on sales. Supervised a team of 12 Project Managers and office personnel, in addition to parking-garage staff.
