Objective: Seeking Construction Project Engineering Position.

Qualifications:-

I have lead cross-functional resources to meet project requirements within established time frames and budgets as Project Engineering Consultant. On Parsons Two construction project, a 15 building University campus and 20 story headquarters building, I have monitored schedule and project cost with all parties and finish the tasks on time and under the budget.

I have serves as a trainer, mentor and resource to project team members. I have trained 3 contractor’s office staff at Yanbu Saudi Arabian to produce construction documents. I have nurtured existing client relationships and proactively pursued opportunities for new business for my clients. I have provided client consultation; drawing on professional expertise and knowledge of the company's services. I have delivers client presentations to 300 California Transportation Department (Cal-Trans) Engineers at Division 7 (Los Angeles Downtown) showing them negotiation technics, and how to implement them to current Cal-Trans project. I have been a member of Toastmasters International and hold the highest certification of Distinguished Toastmasters.

I have a Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering plus over 10 years of related professional Engineering experience. I have active PE registration for both Mechanical and Civil Engineering from California State Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors. I have Masters in Business Administration degree from California State University Pomona.

I have a history of successful collaboration with mechanical contractors on Design-Build projects with MK Design a local Architectural firm building Medical Offices, Senior Apartments, AM PM markets and 7-11 stores. I am familiarity with OSHPD standards used them to refurbish Jonson’s Hospital at Thousand Oaks City.

I have over 10 years of experience in the construction industry and in-depth knowledge of construction processes. I worked over 4 years with Jurupa Community Service District installing underground piping and vertical turbine pumps. At Metropolitan Transportation Authority I work more than 4 years’ experience managing construction of 30 miles exclusive bus way for Red Line Bus service at San Fernando Valley area with parallel underground Sewer & Recycled water lines a $147 million project. I completed this project on time and saved 10 % on the project execution cost.

I understand project management principles and have implemented them with Los Angeles Unified School District where I have executed 120 School Air Conditioning and renovation projects for over $ 2.2 billion using BB bond measures. I have integrated design elements with all other disciplines; I know latest California Building Codes and Title 24 standards (2013). I understand HVAC systems, traditional roof top units, split variable refrigeration Mitsubishi units, and chilled water systems that were used at Parsons Yanbu projects. I have designed Plumbing and fire protection systems for senior apartments & Medical offices at San Diego.

I have strong knowledge of healthcare, higher education including architects, engineers, contractors, and facilities. I have stamped both Architectural and Mechanical Design drawings for Medical Offices and senior apartments at San Diego city planning office. I have applied sustainable design principles within client projects; I have strong client communication and interpersonal skills. I have functional knowledge of AutoCAD; in particular, AutoCAD MEP & Revit MEP 2015. I have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. I have traveled to Saudi Arabia, Texas, and various Middle East Countries to meet client requirements.

Project Engineer: – Southern California Edison Rosemead, CA, Jan 11–May 12

Conducted energy models for clients prepared energy improvement packages for commercial industrial and residential customers. Directed field pump testing for agricultural customers, conducted energy audits on existing pumps and motors.

Evaluated Request for Proposals (RFP) energy contractors and administered multiple contracts

Supervised energy calculations, hydraulic performance of pumps before and after repairs.

Provided project Sea Water Cooling for Nuclear plant next to San Diego City in Southern California.

Project Engineer: –Jurupa Community Service District (JCSD) LA CA, June 06 – December 10

Designed Mechanical Systems for the 25,000 square feet Headquarter building.

Supervised Sanitary and Industrial Waste Water Collection & Treatment.

Designed Potable & Industrial Water Distribution System for Jurupa Area.

Prepared project bid package, reviewed & approved contractor submittals, provided construction support in testing inspecting & commissioning HVAC systems.

Managed Contractor’s project schedule, monitored monthly progress payments and given technical assistance to site inspectors. I have reviewed Request for Information (RFI) & Contractor Change Order Request (COR).

Project Engineer: –Metropolitan Transportation Authority, L. A. CA July 02–May 06

Inspected $147 million contract for installation of 30 inch recycled water line under 14 mile exclusive Orange Line Busway.

Developed project schedule, monitored progress payments to the contractors and reviewed construction submittals.

Addressed contractor’s Request for Information (RFI) & Change Order Requests (COR).

Coordinated review process with consultants STV, Washington International Group, Carter Burgees, Sully-Miller Contracting, LA City Departments and MTA Engineering staff.

All projects were completed on time & under budget. I updated 2000 “As Built Record Drawings” & electronic files with consultant Katz, Okitsu & Associates for this project. The review process includes site visits, monitoring inspection, conducting schedule testing & managing contracts.

Managed the contract for installation of emergency Fire Protection line for underground Red Line Tunnel.

Managed consultant contracts for installing new monitors to observe CCTV camera reception from various bus and train stations throughout Los Angeles County.

Managed project budget.

Supervised master specifications and conceptual design drawings for installing HVAC units at existing & new school facilities.

Supervised bid packages to refurbish old schools in the San Fernando Valley and construct new schools for the Los Angeles City area.

Prepared drawing & specification package for Air-Conditioning 120 old school buildings.

Managed progressive payments to the contractors, negotiated Change Orders (CO), & settled claims.

Managed multiple projects and implemented flexible schedule to deal with changing deadlines & conflicting priorities based on political pressures.

Project Engineer (Const.): - Metropolitan Water District L. A. CA Feb 93 – March 97

Supervised installation of Vertical Turbine Pumps at MWD Weymouth Filtration Plant.

Supervised specifications & contract documents for “Design Built Contract”.

Supervised installation and commissioning of pumps at 24 hour filtration plant facility without disturbing customer delivery.

For Robert A. Skinner Filtration Plant, I wrote specifications, bid documents and monitored installation & commissioning of Duel Flow Traveling Screens.

Conducted submittal review for rotating equipments, supervised master specifications & updated existing specifications to CSI format.

Updated record drawings for repairing 2,500 HP pump impellers at the Colorado River Aqueduct Pumping Stations.

Successfully executed installation of large gate valve at various MWD facilities. In operations, I managed installation of 350 electronic flow measuring meters for MWD customer network eliminating manual reading by field staff.

Coordinated consultant’s Request for Information (RFI) at the East Side (Diamond Valley) Reservoir Project facility.

In order to fulfill the requirement of Master in Business Administration from California State Pomona College, I wrote the paper on “The Environmental and Economic Impact of The East Side Reservoir Project on the Neighboring Area”

Designed HVAC & plumbing systems for 23 buildings at the Daharan Abquake Refinery as per Royal Commission (RC) standards.

Conducted field visits to monitor construction schedules, conduct weekly meetings to manage field inspection per bidding drawings & RC standards.
