Simplified Software Development - Recruited and hired by the CEO in April of 2010 for the primary purpose of
bringing a corporate structure to an existing software company whose product is a Cloud Based online dietary
management solution for institutional meal design, preparation, delivery and monitoring of consumption and
nutritional values. Created a business development and marketing plan, assembled a sales team and doubled
the client base in nine months. Additional responsibilities included investor relations and successful acquisition
of new capital sources.
Lee Asset Management - May of 2007, recruited by the owner as General Manager of this senior affordable
housing property management company. My responsibilities included the day to day operations of facilities
in GA, TX, MI and IN. as well as oversight of all accounting, finance, marketing and leasing and managing
governmental and lender relations. Properties were a part of the aging Project based Section 8 Elderly program
requiring financial and physical management of the properties on very tight budgets. Successful in working
with Department of Housing and Urban Development to receive rental increases that had not been received
for years prior to my involvement. Owner's primary decision to bring me on was his confidence in my financing
expertise and ability to work favorably with lenders and government agencies. Avoided default on one property
by successfully renegotiating the properties debt. Also assisted the owner in marketing and the disposition
of his portfolio.
HomeBanc of Tennessee - In the position of mortgage banker, I originated and processed residential mortgage
loans from January of 2006 until May of 2007. Used my understanding of financial products to successfully
match clients with the most advantageous loans. Other than president, led loan production during my tenure.
Brencor Companies - Joined founders in 1990 to create a multifamily redevelopment company that created
and managed over 15,000 affordable housing units. Successful in structuring new financing vehicles through
the combination of previously uncombined programs to allow for the acquisition and redevelopment of the
properties. The program has gone on to be one of the most successful in the industry. As a byproduct, Standard
& Poor's was able to create an affordable housing program to assist HUD's waning Project Based Section 8
program. Successfully arranged and structured both conventional and tax-exempt financings for acquisition
and rehabilitation of the properties along with successfully qualifying for Low Income Housing Tax Credits
and developing relationships with purchasers of those credits. Designed financing tools allowing development
staff to quickly analyze potential opportunities and spearheaded the transition of the company in the use of
advanced technology. Organizational skills shortened contract to closing time frame from 6 to 12 months to
90 to 120 days.
Fogelman Mortgage - Hired by the principal in 1985 (through 1990) for new business development. Within two
years was successful in driving the company as the leader in income property finance in Memphis, Tennessee.
Additionally was responsible for the development of five additional long-term correspondent relationships,
which provided for a balance of lending products to encompass loans from $500,000 to $200,000,000. In
all, during my tenure, closed three-quarters of a billion dollars of financing including FedEx Headquarters. To
accomplish this required the personal skills to create the client relationship, identify and secure the appropriate
financing, negotiate the business terms, secure commitments and manage the legal process.
Bankers Mortgage - Recruited as a production trainee. Within the first year, accomplished skills needed
for underwriting and valuation. Prior to departure was responsible for the solidification of a correspondent
relationship with a major investor and closed first loan for them.
Pi Kappa Phi National Headquarters - Recruited as undergrad to consult local fraternity chapters nationwide.
Upon graduation in 1980, began traveling to numerous campuses primarily focused on the redevelopment of
floundering chapters. Promoted to Director of Development in 1982 and was responsible for the establishment of new chapters at 11 universities until departure in 1983. This required the recruitment of 20 or more non-fraternity
students and providing the educational tools for their success.
