OBJECTIVE:

SUMMARY:
Design, develop and continuously improving manufacturing and assembly process using lean manufacturing and Total Quality Management techniques. Hands on experience in conducting kaizen, training employees on 5s, SPC and problem solving through root cause analysis. Reduced lead time by 6 hours in total truck build using VSM, process planning, standardization and kaizen. Saved over $90,000/yr through lead time reduction, scrap/ rework reduction from brake press, Machine shop and weld assemblies using process control, poka yoke and standard welding sequence.

Responsibilities:
Developing manufacturing and labor standards for new parts through time motion studies.
As a part of APQP, working with cross functional team to launch new products and assisting in pilot set up program and facilitates manufacturing group for mass production.
Developed kaizaned work stations for the manufacturing using lean manufacturing principles such as 5s, ergonomics and layout design
Responsible for conducting periodic kaizen events, 5s and safety audits.
Developing and documenting weld sequence and process work instructions for critical components.
Raising ECR’s in timely manner for better manufacturing process which reduces scrap, rework and lead time.

MANUFACTURING QUALITY CONTROL GETMAN CORPORATION, Bangor, MI (MAY 2011- JUN 2012)
Performed quality checks at the brake press, machine shop, saw, weld and blast to verify that the correct material was used and the parts are within the tolerance stated on the drawings.
Developed check lists for major assemblies to assure the quality of products are to Getman Quality Standards.
Analyzed the occurrence of variance in dimensions of certain Getman parts and made recommendations to design engineers to set the tolerances.
Timely meeting with Suppliers to determine product specifications and evaluation of products as per the quality standards on the supplier parts.
Developed corrective action reports (CAR) and carried out Root Cause Analysis, Cause and Effect Diagram to find out the actual reasons for the defect of the product.
Hands on experience in 5-WHY analysis and Mistake Proofing (poka-yoke) to eliminate further reoccurrence of the defect.
