Sr. Database Architect/Data Modeler for COMPASS and Einstein Data Warehouses

Managed design, data modeling and implementation for Data Warehouse program, using SWIFT Ledger system data for 1,200 active users (Oracle RDBMS and COGNOS, Business Objects BI). I played a major part in major re-development of Einstein Project, PO, HR, and other data marts. I designed and implemented complex interfaces with Horizon (EHP), pmLIVE, and other applications, solving very complex data issues relevant to conversion of hierarchical data structures. (Einstein Data Warehouse has 2.5 terabytes of data) Performed data warehouse performance tuning.

This resulted in significant improvement of user analytical capabilities and saved $300,000 in software licensing costs.

ETL Developer. I designed, developed and implemented ETL interfaces for Horizon (EHP) budget and financial forecasting application, using Informatica ETL tool. I provided an operational production support of all loading processes and maintained applicable SEP documentation.

It allowed a timely project delivery and with cost savings.

Sr. System Architect/Team Leader for corporate Enterprise Master Data Management (EMDM). Leading the first production implementation of EMDM for Owego/TSS GEM Phase 1 project. Leaded a team of developers and Hyperion MDM consultant for the Phase 1 implementation.

Leaded a Data Quality RFP effort for the corporate Data Quality service offering. Leaded a team of system engineers, application administrators to evaluate and select a Data Quality vendor as a component of the EMDM as well as a standalone corporate Data Quality service offering. System Architect on U.S. Census systems architecture for the decennial census systems. Collected and gathered information on the census geographical and geo-spatial systems. Utilized enterprise architecture framework techniques for the classification of informational data flows.

Sr. Data Architect (team leader) in GTN21 data mapping project for a transportation logistic system. Mastered logical data model evaluation of three data models. Provided management with data model, data transformation, and validation process improvement recommendations. A successful and timely deliverables led to a multiple extension of a task.

Sr. Oracle database administrator (Aer Lingus Airline, Dublin, Ireland) Designed and implemented physical data models for airline on-line booking and frequent flyer management system (initial rollout for 268,000 users). Provide database administration support and application development utilizing Oracle 8i and Sun Solaris 4.5 environment. Provide significant effort in data migration from a legacy system. Master data encryption using Oracle 8i built-in package. Develop scripts and administer standard BroadVision utilities.

Sr. Oracle database administrator (KPN.com, Nederland) Designed and implemented physical data models for a large e-commerce project (126,000 registered users). Provide database administration support for a project, utilizing Oracle 8i and Sun Solaris environment. Utilize BroadVision tools and utilities in project development.

Data Presentation Team leader. Conducted business and system requirement analysis. Developed a Data Warehouse implementation strategy for the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Veteran Affairs. Developed Data Warehousing tools evaluation/selection deliverable documents for two projects, which later was leveraged in other data warehousing projects. Advised management in technical and organizational aspects of the project.

Utilized PL/SQL procedures, SQL * Loader, snapshots, and COGNOS (OLAP tool) to migrate data into Oracle 8 environment.

Abacus Technology Corporation, Chevy Chase, MD

December 1997 to July 1998

Sr. Oracle Developer/Lead Programmer. Developed five user interfaces using as a development tool PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, SQL*PLUS scripts, applying built-in packages and Oracle utilities. This system was developed by using Oracle 7.3.3. as an underlying database management system under Windows 95 and Windows NT environment. Oracle Transparent Gateway with SQL Server 6.5, Sybase 11.2, and Oracle 7.3.3. was used as a main tool for data exchange between various systems. The primary development activities involved following: Analysis of system requirements and logical design; Generation of database tables, views, indexes, sequences, clusters, and hash clusters; Test the database tables using SQL data definition statements and data manipulation statements; Design and coding of stored procedures, packages, and triggers, using features such as sub-query, join-query, cursors, and exception handling.
