Next Gen NDS based 3D Maps project deals with developing the Map renderer, which is based on sophisticated OpenScene Graph framework. The Navigation Data Standard (NDS) is a physical storage format for readily compiled navigation maps is being used aiming at interoperability between navigation platforms. My Responsibilities:

Description : NG-FMS (Next Generation Flight Management System) of The Flight Management Systems (FMS) Center of Excellence (COE) comprises of the FMS Application and the FMS Platform product lines catering to the sectors such as Business and General Aviation with the reputed customer list including Boeing, Airbus, and Gulfstream. In FMS, HTS team is involved in the joint product engineering for the A380, B747-8, B787 Dreamliner, Gulfstream 650 aircrafts. The team is involved right from the prototyping phase, high level requirements, modeling in UML using IBM's RSD and development using Eclipse CDT. At HTS the 20 member team receives guidance from the Architecture team at Phoenix (USA) and at HTS.
My Role: Worked as Senior Engineer in the Sensor Proxy Management (SPM) Package which deals with Input Output Management. SPM abstracts all the sensor data and provides it to other subsystems. This handles all the variation as per different aircrafts so other higher level subsystems remain unchanged. This NG concept divides the whole system into layers based on functionalities. Each layer is then divided into subsystems and then subsystems into components. Responsibilities:
