Western Florida Regional Safety Manager

I was responsible for all aspects and compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations. I maintained all driver files and ensured random drug and alcohol policies were adhered to. I supervised the Regional Training officer to ensure new hires were properly qualified to operate company commercial vehicles within Federal and company policies. I also monitored and investigated accidents and incidents, ensured the DOT and OSHA logs were current and conducted root cause analysis of these incidents to aid in improving a better safety culture within the company. I conducted division site inspections to ensure all company, local, state and federal safety practices were being followed and sites were in compliance with OSHA regulations

Unit(Securing the Cities program manager)

I was liaison for the STC Program between the New York Police Department (NYPD), the State of New Jersey and the Division of State Police, the NJSP and the NJ Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI). Maintain files on: training, equipment and regional deployments. I scheduled training for all personnel equipped in the state, conducted annual refresher training, meetings, presentations and lectures to all regional and national partners involved with the STC Program. I provided all necessary PRND equipment and base of operations for the 2014 Miss America Pageant held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, was the lead PRND mission coordinator and planner for Superbowl XLVIII at Metlife Stadium in E. Rutherford, New Jersey and served as the local incident commander for Operation Prominent Hunt 14-1 a certification exercise for the National Technical Nuclear Forensics Ground Collections Task Force.

December 2006 – November 2009 New Jersey State Police Sergeant – Assistant Training Officer, Transportation Safety Bureau I conducted training in North American Standard Inspections Part A & B, (NASI), General Hazardous Materials Inspection and Cargo Tank Inspections. I was also trained in compliance reviews which is an in- depth review of company files for insurance, drivers, vehicles and operations as it pertained to the FMCSA regulations. While in the assistant position my duties also included in-depth post-accident investigations of all fatal commercial motor vehicle accidents. During these investigations at times it was necessary to rebuild portions of the CMV’s, braking systems, to ensure proper function and investigative results. I have extensive knowledge of both the Federal Motor Vehicle regulations and the Federal Hazardous Materials Transportation regulations.

Conducted commercial motor vehicle roadside inspections in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration General Hazardous Materials Regulations. Conducted Point of Origin and enroute shipments of Transuranic Waste and Highway Route Controlled Quantities of Radioactive Materials, Level VI. Assisted in the emissions testing of Heavy Duty Diesel Trucks. Assigned to the Construction Unit in July of 1999. While on this unit my responsibilities were to oversee traffic control patterns in accordance with the NJ TCP. As a member of this unit I was trained as a NJ State Traffic Control Coordinator.
