Main Project:

Project Title: Improving the economic life of alpha shearing tool by replacing

alternative material with good surface finish

Description : This project is focused on improving the economic life of the alpha shear tool which is used in the high speed shearing machine.To reduce the wear rate of the tool,it was coated with TiC/Al2O3/TIN and its characteristics were studied.Finally the economic life of tool was improved in terms of number of cuts with good surface finish.

Mini Project:

Project Title: Design and fabrication of single crank mechanism for an opposed dual piston engine

Description : The efficiency of dual piston engine is high when compared with the single piston engine but its size is large.Two separate mechanism is used to operate two pistons.In my project I used single mechanism which can operate both the pistons at a time
