ACCOMPLISHMENTS
I acted as Project Director in the relocation project for Refrigeration Condensing Unit assembly operations in our Monterrey, Mexico facility. Under my direction we relocated the assembly process from Monterrey Mexico to Arkadelphia AR. in 90 days starting October 1st and was in full production by January 5th 2015.
Developed and maintained a culture of safety in the plant that has resulted in over 1.5 million hours with no lost time accidents.
Through development and implementation of part traceability and mistake proofing I have reduced customer line rejects in the compressor business to a world class level of 40 PPM.
As Value Stream Director I lead the plant in a complete finical turnaround, from a 24 Million dollar loss in 2011 to a positive P&L in 2014
Streamlined production and distribution of parts and materials to maintain production and flow in a JIT/lean manufacturing environment resulting in a 25% reduction in customer lead time.
Implemented Kanban programs through Kaizen events resulting in inventory reduction of 26%, floor space reduction of 38%, 100% FIFO, and a reduction of 16 wasteful operations in the production process.
Through continuous flow, JIT and line balancing we have maintained a 98% on time delivery for the last 4 year.
Developed a scrap reduction Program that has improved scrap cost by 50% over the last 2 years.
Have improved labor cost by 50% in all Assembly operations by using line balancing and other lean tools over the last 4 years
Lead a project that eliminated the need for the outside warehouses, consolidating over 30,000 sq ft of warehouse space.
Implemented 5S and the Root Cause Problem solving (RCPS) process through all manufacturing that led to 10% productivity improvement year over year.
Reduced Maintenance and Repair cost by 40% through the establishment of TPM programs and Supplier managed spare parts.
Improved the employee perception survey score to a company high of 85% through employee engagement activities.
