My position also entailed providing first and second assists in the OR involving Orthopedics and Neurosurgery, and providing pre-operative work up and post-operative care for inpatients in the aforementioned specialties.
My position also involved participating in the orthopedic clinic once a week with the Attending Orthopedic surgeon serving the surrounding community.

My position as a Medicine PA entailed being a member of the Attending Physician-RN/PA team which provided tertiary care to adults with HIV/AIDS in an outpatient clinic. My task involved taking history and physical exams, consulting with the patient’s primary physicians, interpreting various laboratory tests, monthly progress notes, dispensing already prescribed medications to non-compliant patients, as well as scheduling patient appointments.
My position also involved being a part of an interdisciplinary team including social workers to provide comprehensive care plans for individual patients. I had conducted two weekly lectures with informational materials.
