Managed a central maintenance department consisting of 140 mechanical technicians (MTM’s) and working coordinators. Assisted in the management of electrical technicians (MTE’s), HVAC and protective systems personnel. Management co-chair for safety team, problem-solving team and contracting out committee. Instrumental in overseeing repairs and outages through initiating, planning, execution, control and monitoring, and closing phases of the project. Interfaced daily with plants operations.

• Directly involved in the restructuring, development and implementation of cross-functional job descriptions to achieve business and company objectives.

• Created and implemented work flow processes that expedited and enhanced services, eliminated redundancy, and reduced costs and time to completion.

• Reorganized department from 56 to 28 hourly employees while simultaneously reducing overtime by 6.2% and improving utilization of work force and customer satisfaction.

• Advanced the use of high pressure water blasting processes and other cleaning methods throughout the plant resulting in multi-million dollar cost reductions.
