2.1 Programme: General Food Distribution

Organization: Samaritan’s Purse, South Sudan.

Position: Program Manager – Food assistance

Experience: Present Position

Responsible for the overall management and smooth implementation of Samaritan’s Purse’s Food Assistance Program in Mayndt, Unity State in South Sudan. I am the budget holder thus being in charge of budget control and disbursement approvals. My other key roles include engagement and coordination of Stakeholders (including donors, other players, community leadership and beneficiaries). I am also in charge of staff training, supervision and performance evaluation. The work also includes project planning which includes production of the project DIP, reports reviewing, consolidation and submission to organization’s top management, the donors and relevant stakeholders.

2.2 Programme: General Food Distribution

Organization: ADRA South Sudan

Position: Commodity Officer

Experience: 7 months (2015)

Team leading in managing a food aid program in one of South Sudan’s most difficult States, insecure and highly inaccessible. This is the South Sudanese community most affected by the ongoing civil war. Food is delivered by means of water and air drops. Job involves planning, needs assessments, stakeholder coordination, staff supervision and reporting.

2.3 Programme: Conditional Lean Season Assistance, funded by World Food Programme

Organization: Adventist Development and Relief Agency – (ADRA) Zimbabwe

Position: Project Manager, in Zimbabwe

Experience: 4 years (2012-2015)

Responsible for project cycle management, technical support to the project staff, focusing as well on stakeholder coordination, sitting in the district and provincial disaster working groups and meetings, planning, project monitoring, commodity tracking, distributions, resource allocation (budget control) and reporting for three districts with a total beneficiary target of 87 000.

2.4 Programme: USAID (OFDA) funded water and Hygiene Promotion Programme.

Managed a staff component of eleven to mobilize communities into Health clubs, School Health clubs through which campaigns would be carried out in the districts to promote appropriate hygiene practices. Provision of technical assistance in the achieving a target of water harvesting tanks, 200 x 10000L in the community and 60 x 30000L at schools, water quality testing and hygiene competitions. Was also responsible for stakeholder coordination and linkages with relevant line ministries.

2.5 Programme: National Action Plan for Orphans and Vulnerable Children, funded by UNICEF.

Organization: ADRA Zimbabwe

Position: Field Supervisor

Experience: 4 years (2006-2009)

Worked with vulnerable children, offering school fees assistance, psychosocial support, birth registration, training in children’s rights, linkage to referrals such as health facilities, legal centres and child protection structures. Capacity building of caregivers, support of caregivers’ livelihoods, creation and strengthening child protection committees at village, ward and district levels. Planning, project implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. Coordination and liaising with key stakeholders and the donor.

2.6 Programme: Vulnerable Groups Feeding, funded by World Food Programme.

Organization: Christian Care- Zimbabwe

Position: Regional Emergency Coordinator – Manicaland Region of Zimbabwe.

Experience: 4 years (2002-2006)

Responsible to lead a team in designing of the proposal for Food Aid funding, collaboration with World Food Programme in the designing of the distribution modalities, beneficiary targeting and feedback systems. Carrying out post distribution monitoring, report consolidation and warehouse management as per WFP standards. The Programme was implemented in three districts targeting a total of 155 000 beneficiaries and a further 3500 school children receiving wet feeding at schools.

2.7 Programme: Integrated Food Security Programme, Funded by Christian Aid and UNICEF.

Organization: Care- Zimbabwe.

Position: Project Officer

Experience: 2 years (2000-2002)

Tasked to implement the integrated programme with the components of Irrigation schemes, community gardens, environment protection, training in Income Generating activities, training in empowerment and gender. As Project Officer I was also in charge of staff supervision, performance evaluation, resource allocation and budget control. In the field was also responsible for stakeholder coordination and report reviewing and compilation for submission.

2.8 Programme: Ministry of Education, Gvt of Zimbabwe.

Positions: Class teacher, Head of Academic Department, Acting School Head.

Experience: 12 years (1987-1999) – 4 years primary level and 8 years secondary school level.

After obtaining my degree and post graduate training, I first worked as a Primary school teacher and moved to the secondary school level. Having been degreed and completed post graduate training in education I acted as school head, in charge of classroom management, school programmes planning, parent coordination. Key areas included working with Parent Teachers Associations in the participatory approaches of coming up with school development plans.
