JOB DESCRIPTION & Role:

The field of plant operations as a plant operator my responsibilities are as under

I have knowledge of Process Flow Diagram's PFD's, Piping & Instrumentation Diagram's P&ID's, Standard Operating Procedures SOP's & Permit to Work Procedure PTW.

Monitoring & controlling parameters in defined limits during normal operation like temperature of column (bottom, mid & top) heat exchanger & condenser, Steam adjustment, heating system, pressure, vacuum, flow meter & tank levels.

Using and maintaining the water pipe lines, steam pipelines, hot water pipelines, Transfer pumps, steam valve, Product valve & Air compressor.

Trouble shooting to achieve budgeted production.

Safe chemical handling & addition.

Collect and deliver lab samples on time.

Routine Checks, Logs & Field Reading after every 3 Hours.

Observe equipment conditions for any changes in sound, leaks or other abnormality & inform the seniors.

Ensuring that good housekeeping is practiced / maintained in the control room and on the plant.

Over all job scope:

Responsible for safe start-up, shut down and trouble shooting of plant following Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Coordinates & Monitors all maintenance activities on the plant, making equipment preparations for handover to maintenance crew/technician and administering of the Company's permit to work procedure.

Carries out all activities in accordance with company safety procedures and manufacturer's recommendations, ensuring that all precautions are taken to isolate equipment prior to commencing work, following all safety instructions and notices, and wearing personal protective equipment PPE's at all times.

Ensuring that contractors working in production areas are fully aware of the Company's onboard safety and work regulations by conducting pre-job safety meetings.
