Responsibilities Include:
Troubleshooting and fault finding all Heavy duty equipment in the mining industries - using Electronic Diagnosis Equipment for Caterpillar equipment called ET.
Troubleshooting and fault finding all CAT and other equipments in the site (Both workshop and at the pit)
Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and workplace Inspection
Carry out routine checks and perform electrical repairs and maintenance for Heavy Duty Machines.
Using schematic to identify (FMI), (CID) and (MID) registered on the adviser without the use of the ET for troubleshooting and fault finding on electrical systems. Repair all kinds of open circuit and short circuit in electrical harness.
Using Electronic Technician (E T) for retrieving active codes, changing configuration, replacement of Electronic Control Modules (ECM), flash filing and all types of calibrations etc.
Check transmission system and electronic gear selection system for correct selection of gears and operation.
The Electronic Technician (ET) is the most essential tool use to perform a lot of function on caterpillar equipment. The (ET ) communicate with other ECM Module through the CAT data link.
