MyBT Infra/MyBT ASG Support
It allows you to personalise your interface to BT's applications and information services. You can change what appears on your personal MyBT home page to match your job and the way you prefer to work. And if you need different applications and information services to do different parts of their job, you can create several alternative pages. MyBT allows users and communities to create tailored workspaces online. Instead of customizing a local PC, users pick and place applications and information sources 'portlets' onto their MyBT pages.
The other big advantage of MyBT is that it's the same wherever you use it. Whether you're sitting at your desk in a BT office or using a computer in an internet café, your interface to BT's IT systems is the same.
To use MyBT, you need to enter your standard username and password. If you're connection from a PC that isn't connected to BT's intranet, you also need to enter a onetime password. To do that, you need a secure access token. If you already use secure remote access or iDesk, you'll have one
Role & Responsibilities: As a team member, I was involved in the following
Creating Root cause analysis documents for all Priority issues
Access log verification and analysis
Working on Change Request using Clarify Tool
Patch Updates
Low disk space clearance
Data Restoration
Providing Level-2 and Level-3 support for MyBT Support, iDesk Support, MyBT Infra Support, iDesk Infra Support.
Environment: HP PC, Windows XP, UNIX, Weblogic 9.1, ALUI, Clarify, Hp Mercury Tool, Apache Webserver, SunOne Web server, Alton, ZXTM, Cisco Load Balancer.

RAMP-iDesk Support
iDesk is a remote access web portal that provides a single point of access to applications and information, it is also a functional place to work. The iDesk portal gives profiled access to BT applications, systems and the intranet. iDesk supports browser based SSL VPN Access to the BT Intranet as oppose to existing arrangements using IP Sec VPN access, i.e., BT SIA (Secure Internet Access formerly known as UKConnect Secure Internet Access (UKCSIA)) or PIECES. iDesk access is most useful from non-BT PC's, i.e., personal machines or even from an Internet café. At the current time of writing - December 2005 there is a user base of approximately 20000 resulting in 200-500 concurrent user sessions on the service at any given point in time. This number is expected to increase tenfold by Summer 2006. For most BT users iDesk will be a supplemental tool allowing remote access where there is no BT infrastructure. For some third party companies iDesk is their only method of accessing BT resources so an outage in service will impact them severely. The expectation is that the mix of users will be approximately 35% 3rd Party and 65% BT.
iDesk is a new and simple way of accessing BT resources from a single Web address. iDesk provides a Portal page from which you can access applications and other resources in a secure fashion from any suitable PC, whether it is a BT machine connected directly to the BT network or any other suitable machine with a Web browser and a Broadband connection.
iDesk allows BT employees and third parties to enjoy remote access to BT anytime, anyplace and anywhere. The only piece of equipment you now need to carry is the ActivCard token which is used when logging on to iDesk.
Role & Responsibilities: As a team member, I was involved in the following
Creating Root cause analysis documents for all Priority issues
Working on all priority issues at SLA resolution timings.
Created User manual for iDesk
Working on Change Request using Clarify Tool
Providing Level-2 and Level-3 support for iDesk
Environment: HP PC, Windows XP, UNIX, ALUI, Clarify Tool, Hp Mercury Tool, Apache Webserver, SunOne Web server, ZXTM Load Balancer, Alton Load Balancer, Cisco Load Balancer, Weblogic 8.1.
