Description of the project:

Aviall Inc. is among the largest providers of Supply Chain solutions to the aerospace and defense sectors. The objective of the project was to automate the Sales and Operations Planning process followed by Aviall. The existing process was executed entirely using Excel with data sourced from multiple applications. The solution provided a unified view of the data by building a data mart serving the OLAP layer capable of receiving and persisting user inputs. ETL processes were developed to load data into the data mart from various sources including – Excel reports, ERP application, Inventory management and forecasting application, Data warehouse.

This is a citizen facing web interface; using this citizen can make various activities like Utility bill payment, Applying Business License, Applying Building Permit, view their tax and pay it online, pay parking ticket, Employee maintenance, etc.c

This effort of managing this huge demographic database along with the social identification no has to be accomplished using an ETL tool. Informatica Power centre 8.6.2, which is DB’s strategic ETL tool.
