General Help

Worked as a General Help in Tim Horton’s cafeteria. My main job was to help my Supervisor and Team Leader in the cafeteria.

Ducat India (January 2013 – July 2013)

Software Trainee

Worked as a trainee in Ducat and got some exposure to C, C++ languages and embedded systems as well.

Projects:

Worked on a term paper in my Database Systems class in which I was supposed to work on “Scaling Cassandra database under heavy user loads” project. I implemented a simple Java multithreading program which can generate lot of loads against Cassandra database and then I used OpsCenter to see what the performance of Cassandra database is and how the write latency is coming along with CPU load as well. If there are lot of timeouts happening on the Cassandra then that means, we need to add more nodes on the Cassandra cluster to make it stable.

Developed few games on indirect control in my Game class using Processing framework. First game was the paddling and ball game; I need to keep on paddling the ball by making sure it is not touching the ground. If it does touches the ground, then you keeps on losing the lives and if you are able to make sure that it is not touching the ground then your points keep on increasing.

In my Advanced Data Structures class, implemented Linked List from scratch.

Developed a calculator using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS.

Drawn UML diagrams on my Library Management System project in my Model Driven Development of Real time and Integrated Product Development course.
