Tools - AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion 360, Solid works, Key shot, ANSYS, Simulink, MS office
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PROJECTS:
KISI Incorporated, Mechanical engineer & Product Design Intern May 2014- September 2015
Created multiple 3D design and models for enclosures for electrical modules. It was a process of Rapid Prototyping and design which included creative redesign of existing models and creation of new models. The tools I used were Fusion 360(cloud based Autodesk 3d software), key shot and PTC Creo to create designs.
K CUBE
Designed an ultra small and compact 3D model for enclosure of electric modules for the residential housing based on shipping and client installation specifications.
KISI Square Beacons
Designed miniature and robust custom designed beacons for the square head quarters using Fusion 360 to facilitate home 3D printing. Installed over a 100 beacons at Square, Inc. Head quarters.
Oreganic Design LLC, Mechanical Engineer & Product Manager August 2015- October 2015
Created mechanical design for latching systems for the product. Involved in product research and analysis along with project management and packaging design. Multiple design concepts created for clients and interacted with them for finalization of design concepts. Functioned in project Management role.
Product Packaging
I was involved in designing of the product packaging box along with design of interior molds, layout for charging components, logo style placements and selection of colors and materials.
I was in constant communication and liaison between the packaging firm and clients.
Buckle Latching system
Involved in the creation of multiple mechanical designs of the latching system between the two parts and make specifications sheets.
The mechanical system Included spring systems, plunger systems and other mechanical working systems.
New York University, Graduate Assistant January 2015-May 2015
Worked as Graduate Assistant under Professor Peter. S. Walker.
LinkedIn Profile : https://www.linkedin.com/pub/peter-walker/39/954/8
Bayswater Industries, Intern June 2012 – July 2012
Worked as assistant to the Production manager in Product development and packaging of production of seasoning cubes, spice mixes etc.
ACADAMIC PROJECTS:
Stability and controllability Systems August 2013-Decemeber 2013
Used Matlab as a tool to find stability and Controllability of problems and situations.
Along with Matlab, Simulink was used as a tool to plot unit responses for some of the problems.
Terminal Knee Extension device December 2012-May 2013
Applied CAD tools and 3D designed and fabricated a physiotherapy knee device using pneumatic circuit.
A pneumatic circuit was created to control the air pump.
The device helps regain complete gait after knee surgery required to cure Arthrofibrosis.
Four Wheel Steering System May 2012 – December 2012
Applied CAD tools and designed and fabricated a steering system, which is a modification of the Ackermann steering system,
which can be, implemented in low speed vehicles such tractors, golf carts, etc.
Reduces the turning radius of the wheels, increases traction and maneuverability
ACTIVITIES:
Graduate Orientation Leader at NYU, Fall 2014
