PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Operations Sergeant Major July 2013 - Present

Senior Advisor for a 4400 Soldier Infantry Stryker Brigade Combat Team, directed operational planning and military decision making process including the development of plans, orders, and annexes. Advising the Brigade Commander, Executive Officer, and S3 in administrative, tactical and technical matters. Accountable for planning and resourcing Brigade training and tasks, responsible for coordination and tracking all Noncommissioned Officer Education and Military Occupation specific courses. Trains and mentors six other Senior Advisors in all operational aspects. Oversees accountability of equipment in excess of $10 M.

Mentored all junior leaders in all areas of training, maintenance and leadership development. Supervised and directed professional development. Identified and developed future leaders from within the enlisted ranks. Provided advice to the Brigade and Battalion Commander on material development and skills sufficient to initiate a variety of training programs, and instructional courses.

Directed the analysis on new and existing programs of instruction (POIs) lesson plans, course examinations, and other products to identify training shortfalls, deficiencies and development of plans to correct areas that are deficient which led to more highly developed Soldiers

Coordinated over 650 conflict resolutions in a single year. Implemented safety and security measures that ensured a safe workplace.

Operations Manager Dec 2006 – May2012

Advised the Program Manager on all matters pertaining to Soldier care, $250K of non-appropriated funds, operations, maintenance, and repair of facilities of a remote location in Iraq. Senior enlisted manager for all personnel, training, mentoring, and accountability, within an organization of 140 personnel within four different departments.

Successfully managed the Army’s New Equipment Training Company. Tasked to provide transitional training to the Total Army. Supervised the performance of two Team Leads and thirty instructors that conducted multi-variant new equipment training on both Stryker and Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Ensured compliance with Joint Transportation Regulation of over $2.5M of annual temporary duty missions.

Senior advisor to the Executive Officer regarding maintenance management and maintenance status of over 100 combat vehicles and equipment status, living conditions and facilities with a combined value exceeding 17 million dollars. Excellent presentation skills, incorporating a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with others.
