Academic Projects:

Performance Analysis of I.C. Engines Using Air and Fuel Energizer May 2013

Using Paramagnetic property of Oxygen in air, the emission levels of the I.C. engines are minimized. Principle used is Air Energization that causes complete combustion of fuel.

Combustion measurements were taken in a dynamometer test cell and emissions like HC, NO, CO were measured before and after Air Energization.

Calibration and Testing of Downsized Turbocharged SI Engine January 2015- April 2015

Studied and examined effect of various engine parameters like compression ratio, EGR rate, spark timing on knock tendency of the engine as well as IMEP, ISFC using MATLAB SIMULINK software

Calibration of engine for minimum knock, maximum performance and fuel economy and determined knock limited MBT timing for downsized turbocharged SI engine.

Design of 5 Speed Transmission System July 2015- August 2015

Designed the gear ratios of 5 speed manual transmission system according to power and torque requirement of vehicle.

Designed the complete geometry of spur and helical gears and determined gear forces.

Studied the fuel map and determined the gear ratios for most fuel efficient point.

Parametric Study of Engine Emissions and After Treatment January 2015- April 2015

Analyzed the effect of adiabatic temperature, equivalence ratio and EGR on NO, CO and HC emissions.

Studied the after treatment methods such as use of catalytic convertors and, change of other engine design and input parameters to reduce the engine emissions.

Benchmarking and Preliminary Design Specifications September 2015

Conducted a benchmarking study of competitor vehicles with the reference vehicle selected.

Developed preliminary specifications of the target vehicle.

Developed Pugh diagrams to determine how the target vehicle and benchmarked vehicles compare with its reference vehicle.

QFD, Vehicle Attributes and Cascading Requirements for Target Vehicle MY 2021 October 2015

Developed product specifications through the application of the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to a selected vehicle system.

Supplemented vehicle level attribute and sub-attribute vehicle requirements for the target vehicle, cascading them up to component levels.

Developed preliminary specifications of the target vehicle
