Database Management System responsibilities included IMS/DB2/CICS system internals, gens, and performance & tuning. Database administration functions including, database designs, DBDs/PSBs/ACBs gens, backup & recovery, database reorganizations, MFS/BMS/ADF coding, and ADF rules. Database Applications design, implementation, documentation, application testing, and production turnover are among his accomplishments. The databases were designed for BMP & on-line environments utilizing FASTPATH, HISAM, HSAM, HIDAM, HDAM, and GSAM access methods. LOGPLUS were used to control/manage the production environment backup and recovery processes. SMUII and PAII allowed for database analysis and performance measurements. DISASTER RECOVERY FOR 24 X 7 X 365

He has worked with many clients to establish comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plans to meet their business needs and budget. Whether creating a client owned disaster recovery site or working with Sungard, Comdisco, IBM Global Services or other facilitators of disaster recovery sites. Larry has designed options for near zero data loss with hot swappable backup data centers with XRF to more affordable 24-72 hour data loss with contingency plans for recovery.
