Title: Characterization & Fingerprinting of Chilli Genotypes based on DNA Markers

Description:
•Optimized DNA extraction protocol from 16 genotypes for good quality and quantity of DNA (CTAB method).
•A set of RAPD and SSR markers were used to fingerprinting all these genotypes.
•Standardize protocol for better amplification ( with respect to annealing temp, components of PCR concentration)
•PCR products were run on agarose gel (1.5% RAPD, 3%SSR) and results were documented using gel-doc system.
•DNA bar-coding was done using SSR markers by considering only the allele size, based on expected size as given with respect to each primer.
