Responsibilities
Work as Mechanical Inspector client representative responsible for all quality concerns relative to mechanical activities in my package of jurisdictions such as welding, piping, storage tank construction, Construction of Sphere pressure Vessel, Construction of Spheroid Low Pressure Storage tank, API Pumps Installation ensure the compliance with the project specification, standards & codes.
Maintain a look-ahead schedule of proposed Expenditure Requests in order to facilitate the planning for inspection manpower, office, and accommodation requirements based on Project Quality Plans and Schedule “Q” of attachment VI.
Assist PMT in enforcing and interpreting Company standards codes and specifications, and recommend solutions to construction problems/ violations and if possible consult with the assigned Specialist in the Engineering Services Organization.
Review & Approved the Contractor's quality control documents and test results for conformance to project requirements such as Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Procedures, and Method Statement and submittal of special process based on Schedule “Q” requirement.
Conduct interview of Contractor's proposed QC personnel & disqualified any individual if found unsatisfactory performance.
Initiate weekly quality meeting with the contractor to discuss quality highlights such as Log Book Entry, Proactive Notifications, General Comment, Standard Violation, NCR to ensure that such problems does not happen again.
Liaise with the PMT regarding corrective actions against NCR.
Ensure that all welding procedure is approved and welders are qualified.
Conduct site surveillance of welding activities before, during and after welding basis to ensure that they follow the WPS and related standards.
