2012 to 2015

Coordinator – Outby General Services / Engineer/Supervisor

Managed a team of 6 supervisors and 18 labor personnel responsible for inspection, evaluation, and construction of infrastructure for an underground coal mine.

Installed and maintained Victaulic pipe for mine fresh water supply and compressed air supply, PVC pipe for discharge water, and pumping systems.

Constructed and maintained ventilation devices.

Assisted with the assembly of bit for raise bore shaft and associated material handling equipment.

Assisted with the planning and implementation of ventilation changes for the mine as needed.

Managed construction of 3 fine coal recovery plants and the operation of 4 fine coal recovery plants and a combination heavy media and fine coal recovery plant in Alabama.

Served as Plant Manager for the combination heavy media and fine coal recovery plant with responsibilities for production (dredge and dry feed), safety, and coal shipments.

Managed 24 person plant staff consisting of 4 shift supervisors, plant process operators, mobile equipment operators, and office manager.

Implemented lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles such as standardized work, kaizen, root cause analysis, and team based problem solving.
