The application is used for quality data collection during crop production using handheld devices such as HP IPAQ, Symbol MC9090 and MC75. The application enabled Monsanto’s crop planners to have latest information about crop yield from Argentina to Indonesia, saving an average of $1 million each year in manual labor.
Developed front end using .Net CF 3.5 for handheld and Silverlight 3.0 for the website, developed backend SOA piece, written in Java using Hibernate, EJB 3.0 and Web logic
