Once inside check the fax machine for any incoming faxed reports or pharmacy prescription refills/new prescription forms,

Go to lobby make sure that the door is opened and unlocked, also that there is water and Kleenex for the patients,

Go to desk and check for voicemails, once the Doctors come in give them the important messages,

Call back any one with information that they are looking for or answering any questions they may have,

Setting up appointments, for both new and reoccurring patients,

Get the demographics for the new patients, lawyers information, send out the appointment notification forms,

Keep record of the notification forms as well as any information from their lawyers or adjusters set in the patients charts,

Keep track of incoming and outgoing mail,

Do proof of services for the supplemental reports for Doctors then fax, copy, and mail them out,

Keep track of Doctor cell phone calls as well as the office phone,

Organize the appointments in the outer locations/medical office, make sure they know the Doctor will be coming in for an appointment and how many will be there,

Being polite and conversational with the patients, let them feel welcome and comfortable, building a good work relationship with them so they want to come back,

Make sure the next day or any upcoming appointments are notified or reminded or their appointment, reschedule any that need to be rescheduled,

Upon closing make sure that all the charts are filed away, the trashes are emptied, water is refilled if needed, the TV is off, the computer is off the mail has been sent out, lastly the appointments and charts for the next day have been found and brought to the Doctors office, lock up office.
