Physician Assistant
I work extensively with one orthopedic trauma surgeon in whom responsibilities include hospital rounds, first assist in surgery, consultations, ER/hospital call, and independent office clinic. First assist with total joint replacement including knees and hips. First assist in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery, trauma surgery/operative management of lower and upper extremities fractures. Partner with attending physician in providing orthopedic acute care, diagnosing and managing non-operative patients in clinic. I manage pre-op assessments, post-op management, discharge summaries. I interpret X-rays, CT scans, and MRI in collaboration with attending physician and independentantly. I run clinic in which perform joint injections, cast, and splint. My ER experience allows me to provide critical internal medicine management with inpatient population, post operatively.
