I have 3 and a half years of experience working with Java and understand networking technologies through a course I took in Fall 2013 and subsequent use. I received a 3.7. I also have experience with C++ and Python respectively. The IDE I have been using is Eclipse and Microsoft Visual Studio Pro 2012. In addition, I have experience with Android and therefore am quickly learning XML. I also have limited experience with HTML, CSS, databases such MySQL and SQLite, cloud computing, and servers.

I took a course on computer networking, in Fall 2013, which is supposed to prepare you for CompTIA’s Network+ exam. I received a 3.7 in the course. I gave me a firm grasp of various network topologies; network protocols within the TCP/IP suite; basic network security issues; standards in wireless, twisted pair, and fiber-optic networks; the establishment of virtual LANs and subnetting; the use of routers and gateways; and troubleshooting networks.

Media Application for Ford cars and trucks

2014-present

Ford has a developer program where developers can get access to Ford’s Applink API and emulator tools to design applications for phones that interface with Ford’s vehicles. I’m looking at developing an application that indexes a phone’s media, audio and video, which it pushes to the car’s display and allows you to play over the car’s stereo. I’m also looking into streaming of media like Youtube into your car through your phone, through interfacing with the car.
