●As Weights and Inspections Supervisor, daily responsibilities include individual assessment of each inbound drivers truck load by checking measurements, load quality, weight, and overall safety of inbound and outbound freight. Insuring integrity of weight by checking, calibrating and cleaning indoor freight scales. Maintaining safety of drivers, dock workers and all associates by preforming fork lift audits. Daily administrative duties of creating excel spreadsheets for entire region, reporting drivers numbers, failures, documentation of improperly captured freight. Issuing disciplinary action for drivers when necessary. Traveling to terminals in the region to properly educate drivers and dock workers of correct handling procedures and overall safety.
●As a dispatch supervisor daily responsibilities included supervising and coordinating 500 to 700 inbound and 400 to 600 outbound freight bills, maintaining a 99% same day fill rate. Supervising a staff of 36-52 LTL drivers out of multiple terminals, including driver scheduling, disciplinary action, ensured that trucks and drivers met DOT regulations, and coached and audited drivers on following proper company procedures. Setting up optimal and safe driving routes. Oversaw all aspects of driver productivity and driver data entry, maintaining company standards at 100% compliance. Participated in new driver orientation and training with all new employees.
